The Brunei Economic Development Board will soon open its first SME Innovation Center. Essentially, it is a business center for innovation and incubation focusing on research and software development.

It will act as a platform for entrepreneurs and newly established firms in the Information Communications Technology (ICT) sector to base their fledgling businesses through the provision of management guidance, technical assistance and consulting tailored to these young growing companies.

A few days ago, a commenter on my site said there are 277,000 subscribers for prepaid and post-paid mobile phone services from DST, one of two mobile service providers in Brunei. That may sound like just a municipality in Jakarta or a village in Nanjing, but when you have a total population of about 380,000, it's a heck of a lot! Read more »

Greetings from Brunei Darussalam! I'm so excited to be posting for CNET Asia! For those who have not visited Brunei Darussalam, this is a great introduction posted on YouTube and subsequently posted on the Visit Brunei 2008 blog.
