HTC Touch HD
Not surprisingly, the much-anticipated Touch HD, which is the new flagship model in HTC's lineup, will be priced at a premium S$1,388 (US$1,115.22). While this is slightly lower than what some people have speculated on earlier (at about S$1,500 (US$1,205.21)), the hefty price tag still makes it one of the most expensive PDA-phones in the market. However, those willing to pay the price will receive in return the best multimedia features one can possibly get in a PDA-phone today.
These range from a 5-megapixel autofocus camera and multiple wireless connectivity options to a 3.5mm audio jack for third-party earphones. The Touch HD's key selling point, though, is its generous 3.8-inch WVGA (800 x 480-pixel) touchscreen display, which is larger than the ones found on the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 and Apple iPhone 3G. HTC Touch 3G
On the other end of the price spectrum is the Touch 3G, HTC's new successor to its popular Touch line. What's perhaps amazing is that despite adding more features, such as HSDPA and GPS, HTC engineers have also managed to retain the small form factor of the original handheld and, in fact, made the Touch 3G even lighter this time round. The price has also been lightened, at S$798 (US$641.17), S$50 (US$40.17) less than the earlier Touch model on its release. Get our first impressions of the Touch 3G here.
According to HTC, the Touch 3G and Touch HD will be available exclusively from Singapore operator StarHub and other authorized distributors in the Republic from November and December, respectively. The rest of Asia is also expected to get the two handsets at about the same time.

stanleysj: It is always exclusive to a telco for 2 weeks or so, and it will eventually be available to the rest of the telcos after that. Except the Iphone3G which is still exclusively to Singtel up till the end of the year. We have seen the Omnia, Touch Pro being exclusively to both Starhub and Singtel respectively for 2 weeks only. But it is always good to grab them during their first launch as there are always better freebies included in their first launch package. Devlin: I believe there will be people who would be doing that unofficially.
They should've done Android on the Touch HD instead of the Dream! Please let there be an alternative OS available later on.
Exclusive to Starhub? That's not good. Will it be later available to other telcos?
Ah so good to see that finally its out there and before Christmas. Paying the high price is ok as long as HTC does not drastically reduce the price of HD later on.
read that Touch 3G will be available this week, HD will be next month.
