The Epson EB-450Wi is a new breed of multimedia projectors designed for teaching and training purposes in education and business sectors. It is capable of displaying a huge 80-inch interactive screen on most surfaces from a short 48cm distance. This feat is achieved through its ultra-short throw function. The Epson comes bundled with a digital infrared pen for users to scribble in "virtual ink" and interact onscreen. The pen also and doubles as a mouse for PCs.

With its widescreen 1,280 x 800 resolution and 2,500-lumen brightness, this 3LCD beamer can project more information than its standard XGA competitors without requiring a completely dark environment. The projector also comes with network capability to simplify remote operation and supports Wi-Fi through an optional USB adapter for wireless presentation. The Epson EB-450Wi currently retails in Singapore for S$3,388 (US$2,722.16).

No pricing and launch details are available for other Asian markets.
