Eee PC S101: A premium Netbook

Tech site Hardwarezone seems to have popped the cork before the party has even begun, as leaked information on the first premium Eee PC was splashed across its site before being pulled down. According to an ASUS representative, the information was actually under embargo and the aforementioned Eee PC S101 was not supposed to see the light of day until later this week.
But what's done is done, and various other sites have replicated the information and the cat cannot be put back in the bag. The Eee PC S101 is the cooler and slimmer version of the Eee PC 1000H. It is equipped with an Atom chipset, 10.2-inch display and solid-state drive. What makes this model really special is its exceptional sleekness, coming in at only 25mm thick with a 1kg heft. This makes the Eee PC 1000H look bloated and heavy in comparison. Other features include:
The 16GB SSD version with Windows XP system is expected to cost US$699, the same as the 32GB SSD Linux edition. Bumping up the storage to 64GB SSD with Linux is an extra US$100. Netbook supposed to be cheap. So keep it cheap. I love my 1000H and with the right OS/software it is as good as any Core2Duo or Centrino2 laptops. Looks? I just get a laptop skin for the 1000H and it looks nice.
Actually I don't see a need for any of those so called Netbooks. You can't put it in you shirt pocket or your pants pocket. Its not much smaller than the ASUS U6 I'm using now which is loaded. Maybe its just me but I don't see a need for that class of notebook. Im missing something here. What's the advantage?
Not worth it, the shorter battery liife and miserable low end SSD that comes with it, makes it totally unworthy compared to the 1000H with 160gb HDD. Asus should have at least add in 1 more ram slot or 3G connectivity for that price.
To pay more for the look...no, not for me! We don't wear it.
There will be definitely suckers who falls for better looking stuffs. Great packaging drives perceived value higher. A great example is the Vertu phones....bling bling...but essentially functionality is quite normal...
