Core system functionalities are gathering information about company customers (companies, organizations, and public offices the company is in contact with), gathering information about customer representatives (individuals contacted for specific business matters), providing access to basic company employee information (phone numbers, e-mails, or departments), keeping a record of all the contacts of the company with other organizations, planning future contacts, the option of assigning user-defined properties to customers, representatives, and employees, properties can then be used to group data and searched for, support for logically separate actions, called campaigns (e.g. a promotional campaign or working to close a specific contract), and using the integrated e-mail module to send serial e-mails.
