Adobe Central beta

Now in beta, Macromedia Central is a unified environment for Internet applications. Its intent is to provide a hub where Internet applications can work together and help with daily tasks. It is also being developed as a marketplace for applications created with Macromedia Flash.

Central runs on both desktops and Macromedia Flash Player-enabled mobile devices, using the technology of the Macromedia Flash Player 6. This enables Flash developers to create applications that don't depend on a Web browser. This beta test of Central provides two sample services, Movie Finder and AccuWeather. Movie Finder combines information culled from media giant Tribune Media, reviews site Rotten Tomatoes, and other sources to offer localized film information, including show times. The weather service offers updated local forecasts and other data culled from AccuWeather.
