If only they combined the Acer keyboard with the battery life of the Eee PC. That would be as close to a perfect Netbook as you can get.

It's an obvious victory for Acer in this category. As for the Eee PC, better luck next time.

a small size with lame battery life defeats the purpose of true mobility. Asus Eee still fared better than the Aspire-One unless Acer comes up with an improved version including bluetooth connectivity plus an endurance battery, but Asus could offer an upgraded version or an upscale model where customers will be spoiled to choose from.

ive got nothing to say but acer rolls out to be a winner for me..design matters and its far more gorgoeus than d asus,.Asus netbook/umpc's design is obvioulsly ugly,it feels and looks plastic..aspire one's spec is cool, i dont mind the omission of bluetooth..i thnk acer aspire is a winner.

wow to be honest I have seen the aspire, and its one hell of a NICE UMPC, as i always shun the EEEPC because of its plasticky feel, go take a look and let me know if i am telling the truth

Acer is now selling a 6-cell battery for the Aspire-One online. a USD119 battery for a USD379 pc ??? (retailing outside SG), that's bul*****

acer .. acer... but still tehre are many EEEpc lovers, what happen to HP ? guess they over priced their UMPC

apparently, acer has dropped their prices ahead of their other competitors -lenovo+dell- who will be joining the netbook fray.

as for the overpriced HP, the more powerful acer 2920Z is now selling at S$999 at all Courts outlets in Singapore now.

the Acer Aspire-One was selling in COMEX-SG for S$499 with 3-cell battery, in-line with their current price-drop as promised a while ago (USD329), but they've failed to release units with 6-cell batt which is supposed to be at USD399~S$599. the current pricing are really tempting & i hope its stays that way for these netbooks, where Windows-based model should not fetch above USD500~S$700. nevertheless, more consumers are still waiting for the upcoming Fujitsu-M1010 (which apparently comes with a clumsy keyboard), LG X110, Dell-E (mini-inspiron), & the most sought-after Lenovo S9..to spoil customers' choices & further fierce price/feature comparison
