My vote goes to the iPhone. The iPhone just needs some more attitude in it to be the best phone man has ever created, 3G, a better camera with flash and more features would do the trick :)

Jhei, Not too sure about the iPhone. It is a lot heavier than the HTC Touch Diamond. Having handled both, I also found the iPhone would heat up against the ear uncomfortably after some use. Plus the Diamond is running on Windows Mobile which syncs more easily with our PCs. There're some pretty nifty TouchFLO 3D functionalities built in, too.

Juniper, the HTC Diamond is undeniably better than the iphone in terms of features, just like with the N95 vs iPhone's case. What makes me decide to give the vote for the iPhone is the "wow-factor" that it currently has. I can't agree more about the heating-up issue when used for considerably long call durations on the iPhone. As I've said, 3G and a better camera (with secondary camera ofcourse), camera flash plus enriched/added features would bring the iphone on the right track.

In the end, it's really a matter of waiting to see what Apple will be shipping to Asia--the original iPhone (nothing new) or the enhanced 3G iPhone which will be supposedly thinner and more full-featured. Feature for feature, the iPhone still has a bigger screen and possibly a bigger memory (16GB vs 4GB?). Plus with the Cupertino company offering the iPhone SDK to developers to develop apps for the cellular, that's a mighty compelling reason to go with the iPhone over the Diamond.

the back of the 'diamond' only reminds me of the surface profile of the F-117 stealth bomber which serves as a radar deflector. but how is it for the this device? maybe juts for aesthetics or to make it aerodynamic to serve those people with sweaty hands...hehehe (it seems to be an image only to give a brawny look)

And that includes a screen that is much sharper and clearer than the iphone. I really like Apple's innovations. But in turn of value for money, I have to say no. Apple always tries to charge you more. So, if you asked me whether to get an iPhone, I would recommend to get one of iPhone clones those have the same outlook and interface as iPhone...
