The XPS now also have the 9300 core 2 processor option. Erm personally, they should be compared with similar or updated processors, ram and graphics.

agree absolutely that unless CNET is a certified Apple fanboy, we must compare same processors... T7 series is Merom, manufactured on Intel's 60 nanometer process. T8 and T9 series is Penryn, made under Intel's 45 nanometer technology and that makes one heck of the difference!
