Question on Digicams:

Between the Canon PowerShot G11 and Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35, which is a better camera? I am currently using the Powershot G2 and would like something that does videos, too. With that in mind, which of the two choices is better?

The Canon PowerShot G11 and Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35 are quite different. Although both are advanced shooters, the FZ35 has an 18x optical zoom lens whereas the G11 has only 5x. However, the Canon has an articulated LCD which is useful for taking shots at awkward angles.

That said, if you're looking to shoot more video clips, the Lumix is a better choice as it records 720p-quality movies.
