Will there be any upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.5 for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1? If so, will it be offered free and will I be able to upgrade it at Sony Ericsson's authorized dealers?

At this point in time, we don't have visibility of a Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrade for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1. To keep yourself updated, you may want to bookmark this page for reference. However, if you are thinking of upgrading your handset, you can consider the Xperia X2 (successor to the X1) which comes preinstalled with the latest version of Windows Mobile. Software upgrades can usually be downloaded and installed by the users themselves, but different companies may offer different upgrade options. For example, in the case of Samsung, users have to make a trip to the service centre to upgrade the OS.
