Why doesn't my PS3 work with my Samsung TV?

Nov 5, 2008

Question on Home Entertainment:

I just connected my PS3 to the Samsung LA40A610 TV with a HDMI cable. When I set it to 1080p, the screen can be shown but sometimes error messages appear and the screen becomes jerky. What should I do?

You might like to try another HDMI port on the TV or a new HDMI cable altogether.

The Samsung 610-series should be able to support 1080p50/60 out-of-the-box. Check your user manual for more details. If all else fails, contact Samsung or Sony for technical support. Good luck.

For those who met the same problem, be more awared when choosing the HDMI cable!
I just tried out another 3 more HDMI cables, all were not stabile included the china made cheaper one and even LG brand also failed!
Finally, I tried to use the Pioneer HDMI cable (come with Pioneer Plasma TV), problem solved!
