Sep 5, 2008

Question on Mobile Phones:

If i buy an iPhone from Hong Kong, will it be officially unlocked like the one from SingTel that doesn't require special unlocking procedures?

Yes, according to 3HK, its iPhone 3G sets are not network locked. You can use it with SIM cards other than the one provided by the operator.

However, 3HK doesn't sell pre-paid sets or standalone units, so you'll have to sign the two-year contract and pay the remaining months on the contract if you terminate it prematurely.
