Should I go for the Lumix FX36 or the FinePix F100fd?

May 13, 2008

Question on Digicams:

After several days of deliberation, I'm still torn between the Panasonic Lumix FX-36 and Fujifilm FinePix F100fd. On one hand, I like the HD movie feature of FX36. On the other hand, F100fd has 12 megapixels and a higher ISO capability. Which will you recommend and most important of all, which model will you plonk down your money on? Please help me decide.

It really boils down to what you are planning to use the camera for. If you are looking at taking high-res videos and group shots, the 720p video recording feature and ultra-wide 25mm lens on the FX36 should do the trick. However, if you need to make large prints and often take pictures in low-lighting conditions, the F100fd will be the better option. Do try out both cameras in the store as that will give you a better idea at to which camera handles better for you.
