I travel to Japan frequently. I can buy a BlackBerry 8707, but how do I activate for use when I get to Japan?

Answer:

All you have to do is check that your operator has a roaming agreement with the operators in Japan and that you have a roaming plan in place. If there are any settings that you need to apply, your operator should rightly let you know. But normally, there isn't any complicated activation process. Just turn on the phone once you get off the plane, and you should be good to go.
