Question on Handhelds:
I am an internist and a rheumatologist from the Philippines. I need a PDA for my daily routine but after browsing through many devices, I got more confused.I plan to use the PDA for:
1. Maintaining a patient list which grows weekly, monthly and yearly
2. Showing pictures of human anatomy and body systems which I can use to show patients when explaining their illnesses
3. Reading e-books for quick reference
4. Doing some accounting
5. Surfing the Web
6. Doing the usual such as calendar appts and contacts
7. Roaming in other countries
What would you recommend? I have looked at the HTC TyTN II, O2 Xda Atom Life, HP iPaq 610c/612 and Asus P750.

I do need to alert you about keeping patient records on your PDA-phone. Because those are confidential records, I'd recommend you install some kind of security software in whatever device you are using. i-mate devices have, by default, software that lets you wipe all data remotely even if you lose your phone and locks thieves out so they can't see what's in your memory. If you are not buying an i-mate device, I recommend installing WaveSecure, which has similar features. (Disclaimer: CNET Asia will not be held responsible for any loss of data or device malfunction as a result of use of third-party software. Always back up your data frequently.)
As for surfing the Web, that will depend on whether you are using Wi-Fi or the cellular network for connection. If you are using 3G or HSDPA, it will be highly dependent on the quality of your operator's network.
As for your device, I'd advise going down to the shop and picking them up one by one to see which one you fancy most. In the end, it could be a color or design that becomes your deciding factor.
