Question on Handhelds:

I've just bought a Dopod 838 Pro PDA-phone. It works fine, just that whenever I talk through the phone the normal phone volume is so soft I have to ON the loudspeaker (and, hence, everybody can hear my conversation). I have tried adjusting, but no good.

According to one of our resident PDA expert, the Dopod 838 Pro has one of the loudest speakers out there. So if you have already adjusted the volume of the handheld and still find it difficult to hear the other party during a phone conversation, you may want to get the Dopod service center staff to check if there is any malfunction in the 838 Pro's hardware.

I've had this problem since I bought mine in August '06. So I use a Bluetooth earphone set. I've repaired it several times when it was still under guarantee but since it no longer is I have had to scrap that idea. It's frustrating though.
