Desktop concept design goes retro

To us, retro can be simply summed up as "old is the new new". This idea seems to have hit desktop designs as can be seem by this concept model inspired by the the 1954 Philco Predicta television.

Created by US-based SchultzeWORKS, the Philco PC goes for curves and a type-writter style keyboard. Despite it's old-school exterior, this PC's runs on the latest Windows 7 operating system. There's no news on price and availability, but you can still drool over the video released by the designer in the meantime.

About the author

Tracking laptop and PC trends since 2005, Darius Chang may have been knee deep in bits and bytes but is certainly not a binary person. Under that big and soft exterior holds a marshmallow core which dotes on his god-daughters and nephew. Suspected of ADD, his interests span disparate fields such as sustainability studies, diving, sports, politics, etc. A true jack of all trades, but master of one (maybe two).
