Microsoft claims that Windows 7 runs significantly faster than its predecessor, Vista. However, Lenovo is taking it one step further by becoming the only vendor to receive Microsoft's Windows 7 Enhanced Experience certification which promises even faster bootup/shutdown and resume times than other manufacturers.

The original PlayStation 3 was one huge machine and modding it into a laptop was probably unsuitable. But when the smaller PS3 Slim came about, Ben Heck, an amateur modder, decided this was the right time to change his gaming console into a portable.
Granted you'll probably need a large backpack to transport the unit, and it does not sport a battery pack. Nonetheless, it is impressive how he managed to integrate an HD-ready 17-inch display into the gaming console. Heck claims he could have made it smaller but wanted to keep the screen size usable. The Round Rock-based computer company is certainly milking its marketing worth out of the new Adamo XPS ultraslim laptop. After first unveiling it briefly at a recent press event and capturing the attention of the industry with its 9.99mm-thin chassis, Dell released a couple of side profile shots of the notebook a few days later.
