Dell unveils rugged tablet PC

Dell unveiled a 12.1-inch rugged convertible tablet PC, the Latitude XT2 XFR, the first multitouch tablet PC that can withstand ballistic shock, extreme temperatures, dust, sand and moisture.

The Latitude XT2 XFR joins the fully-rugged Latitude E6400 XFR and the semi-rugged Latitude E6400 ATG laptops in Dell’s extreme computing family.

Lenovo Netbook gets a makeover, scares off males

Design, design, design. With almost all Netbooks sporting the same, tired Atom chipset, vendors have turned to distinct covers to attract attention. Lenovo has recently revamped its IdeaPad S10-2 with a range of five new artworks that will probably appeal to the ladies.

Psystar looking for trouble in all the right places

Perhaps Psystar's sensing that the end is near for its Mac clones, but the Miami rebel is not going to go silently into the night. It created a stir back in April 2008 when it became the first company to sell non-Apple PCs with Mac OS X preinstalled via its online store. Though these "Hackintosh" desktops are not without some bugs, Psystar addresses a niche market which wants an Apple operating system without being restricted to the Cupertino's hardware selection.
