First, MSI targets the MacBook Air with the sleek X-Slim X340. Now, it seems like Taiwanese maker is going after the 13.3-inch MacBook Pro with its first unibody thin-and-light, the MSI CR400. I own a SimpleTech 320GB Black Cherry Hard Drive and needed it to run on both Mac and PC for school. I thought it would be pretty helpful if you made a video showing how to format a disc to run on all OS's using Mac OS X.
First, Here's why there's a difference. All data has to be put in a file format that the operating system can read off the hard drive. OS X uses a file format called HFS+ to write it's data. Windows can't read or write HFS+ data natively. However, OS X and Windows both can read and write to a format called FAT32, which used to be used for Windows all the way back into the MS-DOS days. Most modern Windows systems use the NTFS file format, which OS X can read, but not write to. Read more »
The Asus Eee PC family has a new member, and it's also the largest Netbook in its stable to date. The Eee PC 1101HA is the first Asus Netbook to sport an 11.6-inch panel. A cross between the Acer Aspire One 751 and Gateway LT3104g, the 1101HA combines the high-resolution 1,366 x 768-pixel panel of the latter with the Atom guts of the former. Read more »

The Apple rumor mill kicked into high gear again regarding the much discussed, yet still mythical Apple tablet. But a significant new piece of information emerged.
Tech blog Venture Beat is reporting that PA Semi, the chip company Apple bought last year whose specific function within Apple has thus far been unclear, will be designing the chips for an Apple tablet in house. Dean Takahashi wrote: "PA Semi's team was split into two parts, one designing portable ARM-based processors for iPhones and iPods, and another designing a processor for the tablet device." Read more »
