With about as much fanfare as a prison release, a new Archos touchscreen MP3 player made an appearance on the manufacturer's Web site this week, along with a handful of product specs.
The product page shows off a new pocket-size MP3 player called the Archos 3, featuring a 3-inch, color, touchscreen, 8GB of storage, photo playback, a voice recorder, a calendar, a stopwatch, and 14 hours of battery life.
Archos isn't saying when we'll see the Archos 3, how much it will cost, what kind of files it can play, or really giving any indication why anyone should care. Nor is there word on when this will reach Asia. But hey, at least it looks more interesting than the Archos 2 player the company silently released back in April.
Here's hoping this is all leading up to a revision of Archos' strongest product, the Archos 5.

We've reviewed a few iHome computer speakers in the past, but the company is now making a bigger move into the computer accessories market after signing a licensing agreement with LifeWorks Technology Group.
The new line is expected to launch "this summer," and we've highlighted a couple interesting looking products, the iStand Notebook Media Bundle with an integrated iPod/iPhone dock (US$299.99) and the iConnect Media Keyboard (US$149.99). The Mac version of each is colored silver and white, while the Windows version is black. iHome-branded mice, headsets, and Webcams are also in the works.

Our suspicions that Apple would soon be offering iPhone and iPod touch users direct downloads of iTunes video content were confirmed during announcements at WWDC 2009.

Not exactly jaw-dropping, but hey, it's pink. (Credit: Memorex)
If you haven't realized by now, most iPod-compatible docks don't really have a sense of color when it comes to looks.
This pink eye-catcher first appeared on the catwalk in Singapore during the "Be Fab & Smoke-Free" fashion event on May 2. The Memorex miniMove packs a power output of 2 x 30W, sound equalizer, and a wireless remote control. Powered either by batteries or an AC adapter, the box is able to play and charge while on-the-go, and has a built-in FM tuner. Those who tote shuffles (or other non-iPods) around can still plug in their players via the line-in jack.
This pink speaker dock can be spotted in major electronics retail outlets, at a retail price of S$99 (US$70.57).
