The Sandisk Sansa Express (1GB) takes after the form factor of the latest Sansa, but replaces the color screen with a monochrome display. What's cool is that the Express will also have a microSD card slot and thus can double as a microSD card reader. FM tuner, FM recording and a rated 15 hour battery life. Already available for preorder at Amazon.

We don't usually take notice of docks, but this one deserves a mention for how it integrates a handle into the design. Go va-va-voom with 36 watts, a built-in AM/FM radio with an alarm clock function and a wireless remote. While its features differ little from other alarm clock/iPod dock hybrids, we like the fact that the Concert 2 can sync your iPod while it charges. Few alarm clock iPod docks are capable of that. According to rumors circulating the Chinese tech forums, the iriver W10 will bring GPS functionality to iriver's stable of products. After the U10, the Korean chaebol is all set to improve it in 2007. Rumors has it that the U20 will pack in storage flavors of 2, 4 and 8GB, along with a 2.2-inch active-matrix OLED (AMOLED) screen. The new screen may just brighten up the display while giving battery life a boost. Like the U10, the U20 will be supporting Flash content (games and movies) and the lovely D-Click navigation system. We can't wait. More CES stories.
