Phone-crazy Singaporeans will probably go gaga over Japanese site StrapYa, a specialist in mobile accessories and more particularly cell phone straps. Out to promote strap culture, the site claims to retail over 6,000 straps and mobile knickknacks, from a Fresh Cookie Strap which looks edible enough to the jeweled Swedish Princess Strap. However, what caught our eye were the Nice Smell Kaori-chan Perfume Cell Phone Straps, which come in Jasmine, Raspberry, English Tea and, get this, Curry! Although the Japanese must not like English Tea much since it's labelled Odor Of English Tea Keitai Phone Strap.
It's so high on the cool factor, we just gotta have one, too. From the originators of the Transparent hybrid kayak/canoe, this one's guaranteed to up your popularity ratings when you next have friends over for potluck or dinner. Watch those grubby fingers, though, as the polished base looks imminently smudgeable. For a cordless, we like that it's over the ear with an integrated keypad on the earpiece, making this truly handsfree. Just one niggling concern: There's no info on just what type of battery this headset sucks or if it's even replaceable.

When the Virtual Keyboard first emerged, we thought the idea way cool even if actually typing on nothing more than a bunch of projected glowing numbers wasn't. For those who don't mind the tradeoff for some hip quotient, i.Tech has released a Bluetooth version in Singapore. To operate, simply hook the rechargeable unit with supplied connector cables to a QWERTY-needy device like a smart phone, handheld or PC. A red lighted outline of a keyboard is projected onto any flat surface. Don't expect touch typing here as there's no tactile feedback to guide you, even if each key tap is accompanied by a sound effect. More likely you'll end up relying on the two-finger search-and-peck method which won't win you any fastest finger prizes.
