Plantronics on Thursday announced the Plantronics Discovery 975, which it touts as a luxury fashion-forward Bluetooth headset built with premium performance. It's the successor to the Plantronics Discovery 925, and it shows--the Discovery 975 inherited that skinny hairpin-like design, right down to the square diamond base.
However, the Discovery 975 carries the brains of the Plantronics Voyager Pro, with its AudioIQ2 noise canceling and WindSmart wind-noise reduction technologies.

Rub a tub tub, luxury in a spa tub. (Credit: Gruppo Treessee)
It's not often that one calls a bathtub sexy. But Gruppo Treessee's unconventional see-through affair is just jawdroppingly slinky, the kind you want to luxuriate in for some personal molly-coddle time. You know it's going to hurt in the pocket when the site doesn't list the prices upfront. Still, you're not just indulging in designer ware. Besides the see-through plate glass panels and spacious enclosure, there's a hydromassage built-in for a hydrothermal spa anytime you want to work out those kinks in your mouse arm or tense shoulders. Not to mention, of course, the latest in bathroom relaxation--color therapy radio and audio jacks for your ipod or CD player. Girl not included.

Last year, we tried out a SingTel-owned racing simulator shaped like a Formula One (F1) car. Unfortunately, you need to book a slot with the Singapore operator to try it out, and you get only one shot at the race track once in it. If you can spare the cash, why not buy your own? For US$44,900, F1Showcar will sell you a motion simulator complete with a life-size F1 car chassis. You can customize the car's color according to your preference, while a PC with simulator software, steering wheel and pedal system are all included. The company ships worldwide though you'll need to factor in hefty freight fees. But anyone who can afford the product shouldn't be too worried about shipping charges.

So I won't be making a dent anytime soon on Sayn Design's limited offering of 500 Diamond deluxe Gold Edition iPhone 3G handsets in 24k gold, complete with Apple logo studded with 53 diamonds in brilliant cut. Count that.
