It's been a long wait, but Google's ground-level imagery feature Street View of Singapore is at last a go.

According to Google, Singapore is the first country in Southeast Asia to get Street View. The service is currently offered in Australia, Japan, New Zealand and Taiwan (Taipei city).

Google Street View was first launched in five US cities back in May 2007. The service provides users with a 360-degree horizontal and 290-degree vertical panoramic street-level view on Google Maps.

With the Ikea aesthetic taking over so many homes, you might be yearning for furniture that reflects your mood. Literally. The interactive Mood Chair by UK designers Aether & Hemera "changes color in response to the colors that its sensors perceive from the environment and the users."

Is it accurate? We're not sure. But we give the artists props for reminding us of mood rings from our adolescent years.

Add another robot to the list of helping bots for seniors. A robot named Charlie rolled into a New Zealand retirement village on Monday to take residents' vital signs, deliver their medication reminders, and call for assistance if they fall.

Until all gadgets go wireless, you'll have cables to deal with. Bluelounge--an LA-based design studio--realizes every device comes with a cable (or two), so it's created products that organize cables that help to defeat their everyday annoyances.

Bluelounge studio's Melissa Sunjaya and Dominic Symons do more than design furniture and accessories. The internationally recognized artists have designed Web sites, interiors, footwear, fashion accessories, and other products that benefit from a contemporary look. Their designs are distinct and inspire clean and happy feelings.

Cardiac patients undergoing procedures at the National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS) from today may find themselves either immersed in a Disney World setting or the African Savannah with accompanying audio playing in the background. This is part of a testbed project by the center involving Philips' Ambient Experience to soothe patients through the intimidating clinical process of preparation, examination, treatment and post procedure.

The Ambient Experience takes patients on a multimedia ride that lets them personalize the lighting, projected images and sounds in the examination or lab room. The 10 themes can be selected via a menu on a wireless touchscreen tablet, with more themes on the way. Once picked, the patient's choice is projected on the walls, ceilings and through TV screens, wrapping the user in a multi-sensorial setting of his or her own choosing.
