The latest Play Big projectors are the brainchild of a bold initiative targeted at creating an identity for InFocus home theater offerings. This was accomplished with an alluring black piano finish matched by smooth curves reminiscent of its flagship ScreenPlay 777 three-chipper.
The series comes in three different flavors with the entry-level IN72 making a 480p proposition, followed by the IN74EX for 576p and the high-end IN76 covering true HD duties with its native 720p resolution.
Aesthetics aside, the Play Big has also incorporated many performance-enhancing features including a 10-bit Pixelworks DNX video-processing chip, advanced six-segment color wheels. You can also expect the same D65 calibration for solid out-of-the-box color renditions standard in its previous line of projectors.
The IN72 will be available in Singapore early next month at an estimated retail price of S$2,000 (US$1,470.59).

Available in 42, 50 and 63 inches, the Lumi offers exquisite design and outstanding quality affiliated with the Nakamichi brand name. The displays are centered on a black lacquered piano-finish screen panel encased in a handcrafted wood housing complete with folded metal buttons and a granite-grounded pedestal stand.
Technophobic users will also be delighted by the strong connectivity with digitally inclined DVI and HDMI terminals at their disposal--a perfect complement for maximizing the performance of the 10,000:1 contrast ratio and 1,500cd/m2 brightness LCD panel.

Remember those wacky LCD TVs from Hannspree? If you find fantasy or sports themes too quirky for your taste, there's now a Style collection for the more sophisticated (read: serious) set. You get to pick from 12 designs, though only two really stand out at first glance. That's the HANNSstarlight, a 15-incher with starburst-inspired contours, and HANNStime.square, a 12-inch set resembling a men's sports watch with thermometer and hydrometer on either side. That said, the 9.6-inch HANNSwood (pictured) does have its country charms.
