Fried, mashed, baked, boiled, roasted--everybody loves spuds. Nobody, however, loves peeling them. Trust the Japanese, therefore, to come up with an ingenious method to have their potato and eat it… with minimum fuss and maximum efficiency. There's an engaging
YouTube video that show how to peel a potato in 10 seconds, Japanese-style. Now, however, someone else has dreamed up a potato peeler that does it without a knife, in under 8 seconds. You do need to boil those taters first. Once done, all you need do is don a pair of Tater Mitts whose serrated inner surface acts like sanding gloves to remove the skin off those potatoes once you start rubbing them. Will it change your life? Nahh, since you can work only one spud at a time, and it's probably not as effortless as it looks when you have to do a bucket of potatoes. But, hey, anything that reduces time spent in servitutde over a kitchen sink gets our (mitten) thumbs up.
