Against our better judgment, this qualifies here as a cool gizmo only because it performs the function of cooling. No prizes for guessing which part of the anatomy. Either there's something lost in translation or the Japanese have, erm, a cheeky sense of geek humor, but Thanko's bottom line is since we spend such a ton of time on our behinds in the office, it kinda makes sense to have your seat cushion blow cool air to overheated parts. That said, prepare to be in the hot seat when you become the butt of office jokes.
Ooooh, another lovely USB device to add to the growing pile on your desktop, right next to the USB pole dancer and USB Turntable. This lightweight paper shredder probably works better mincing up those receipts and bills rather than fat stacks of confidential documents, as this device takes on only A6 (or folded A4) sizes. The problem we see is finding enough ports for all your UBS toys. But, hey, that only gives you the opportunity to start collecting USB hubs, ranging the gamut from gold bricks to Hello Kitty ones.
Great gumballs of fire! Whatever will they put inside a picture frame next--besides a picture, that is? Having seen an aquarium, ants and whatnots displayed behind a picture glass, now here's one that holds and even dispenses gumballs. Ok, so it's a great idea to bribe your teenager with, and we're betting your office mates will no doubt find an excuse to mosey past to help themselves to the (eye) candy. Wall art never looked so sweet.
Just the thing to add to your bathroom on Cluedo nights with your mates. Whodunnit? Winner gets a Dead Fred penholder. Who cares if electrical conveniences these days come at a button touch, rather than a light pull? Hang loose! Noose provided. Better yet if there's a Tom, Dick and Harry in the group. Just remember to forewarn granny before she next visits the loo.

There's not much information on this battery-powered miniature LED table lamp at the moment. But what caught our eye was the fact that the battery is the base. Snap on the lamp shade, which even comes with its own working on/off pull chain, and voila! This bright idea for a Thumbelina lamp is all credit to the trendy Suck UK folks ( correction: Tobias Wong occasionally designs for Suck UK, but not the Little Lamp). And since it uses LED, we're told it gives off 150 hours of light. Tres chic, mon petite. Now all that's needed is for someone to check it out and tell us how brightly this little thing shines.
