Doggles

Juniper Foo  |  Feb 20, 2006

If you manage to keep them on your mutt, you'll be the coolest dog-owner combo this side of the tropics. It's good for your dog's eyes, too. These are the real deal with polycarbonate (shatterproof), anti-fog lenses that block 100 percent of UV light and keep out wind and debris. The wraparound frames are secured by two adjustable elastic straps. Available in black, blue or champagne, with sizes to match different breeds. Bow wow!

Juice Bags

Juniper Foo  |  Feb 17, 2006

It's bad enough that vendors come up with tons of portable gadgets to tempt our pockets. That's, however, not as daunting as lugging along all the attendant cables, adapters and plugs to power up these devices. Ever tried carting your handheld gizmos along on a backpacking trip or even outstation? So yes, we want one of these. It's been out a while, but there are now a lot more color flavors for the fashion plate than just standard black. Juices up your portables, from your PSP to laptops, at anywhere from 1 up to 6 hours, depending on the device. Goodbye power bricks, hello Juice Bag!

Hello Kitty Mini Water Dispenser

Juniper Foo  |  Feb 16, 2006

It's been a while in Internet time (read: eons to fans of the lipless one) since we last featured a Hello Kitty item under Gadget Buzz. This one deserves some mention, only because water dispensers are such boring-looking office fixtures. For cubicle dwellers too lazy to make the trip to the pantry for some sky juice, this table-top water dispenser from Sanrio should bring some cheer, particularly with Hello Kitty reminding you to "please drink 8 glasses of water". Now who could resist that?

LCD and plasma light gun

Juniper Foo  |  Feb 10, 2006

At last! Those who've had to retire their game console light guns and Time Cop just because these wouldn't work on 100Hz tubes or your LCD/plasma TV, good news. Here comes EMS Production's LCD TopGun claiming to be the first to shoot at just about any screen you throw at it, ranging from LCD TVs to plasmas, to even projector displays. Works with PS2, PC and Xbox, though no word on whether it's compatible with the Xbox 360 recently launched in Asia. But, hey, good 'nuff for us. One word: Gimme!
