It appeared out of nowhere on Sony's Canadian site and, just as mysteriously, slid back into the cyberspace wilderness.
No one seems to have caught more than a snapshot of this camera. After its debut on the Sony Web site, it was taken right down again when camera sites like Steve's Digicams and Wired took note. For what it's worth, the Cyber-shot H3 is an 8-megapixels camera with 10x optical zoom. According to Steve's Digicams, the H3 does not have an aperture or a shutter priority mode. At press time, Sony Asia had not reverted back on our queries regarding this mystery digicam.
Following in the footsteps of last year's Samsung NV3, the i85 doubles as both a digital camera and a portable media player. The 8-megapixel aluminum shooter measures just 20.3mm thick and features a 36mm- to 180mm-equivalent internal zoom lens.

When it comes to fashion cameras, it’s the body feminine, not the masculine, that's celebrated. BenQ thinks otherwise. Its second 10-megapixel camera (after the BenQ C1050) has a metallic casing and hue that say sexy cosmopolitan. Indeed, BenQ calls it a celebration of manhood. But we think the Taiwanese firm was not referring to the male geek when it wrote that.
Features on the E1000 are middling. Besides the 10-megapixel image capture, there're very few things to go wow about. Maximum ISO is just 1,600 and optical zoom stretches to only 3x. The internal memory is also just a paltry 6MB and it's not even compatible with SDHC cards. But the saving grace? At least there's a optical image stabilizer.
At press time, BenQ had no availability information for the Asia region.
