If this is an electric bike, oh-la-la, my ride just came in. Looking like a designer cruiser that just came out smokin' from the workshop of Orange County Choppers (OCC), this urban eco-biker runs on six Lithium phosphate battery modules, yet has enough street cred for daily commuting. According to specs, a single 3-hour charge gets you from 0-30mph in just 3.8 seconds, with a top speed of 50mph and a range of 45 miles.
The starting tag of US$12,000 is anything but cheap, with the
Brammo Enertia Electric Motorcycle likely costing as much as a Harley. Too bad we can't convince the big guns at CNET Asia to have us take one on the road for a High-tech Road Trip special, since it's unlikely we'll find power sockets conveniently lined up for us along Asia's highways.
