The Japanese PC maker today announced the latest addition to its LifeBook family, the UH900. Weighing just 500g with a 204 x 106.5 x 23.8mm footprint, this is possibly the company's smallest and lightest handheld PC to date.
One of the things you'll probably find familiar about the UH900 is its form factor. Its longish and ultramobile design certainly brings to mind the Sony Vaio P series which made its debut earlier this year. In fact, both laptops feature the Intel Atom Z530 processor and SSD storage. While Fujitsu incorporates a smaller 5.6-inch screen (versus the Sony's 8-inch display), the WXGA resolution ensures that there will be minimal scrolling when surfing the Web or handling documents, though it is unknown how tiny the text will be on the small panel.

The SL90 LED-edgelit panels have a slim 29mm profile.
LG's SL80 and SL90 HDTVs have been creating quite a buzz on the Web ever since their announcement at the IFA tradeshow in Berlin earlier this year. The SL90, in particular, has been widely seen as LG's answer to Samsung's popular "LED TV" range (the B6000, B7000 and B8000 series), with the former sporting a superslim 29mm depth over the latter’s 29.9mm-thin profile. The Borderless TV moniker comes from LG’s seamless edge-to-edge panel design.
The Finnish mobile giant today issued a press statement on a potential issue with selected phone chargers and has initiated an exchange program to replace the faulty component.
According to the company, the affected chargers are manufactured by its third-party suppliers. It is believed that a loose cover could potentially expose the charger's internal components, which can be an electrical shock hazard if accidentally touched during use.
While no injuries have been reported so far, Nokia has advised users to stop using the affected chargers and to exchange for a free replacement.
Chargers involved in the exchange are 2-pin types and include the AC-3E and AC-3U models manufactured between June 15 and August 9, 2009, as well as the AC-4U model made between April 13 and October 25, 2009.
Users can check this Web site to see if your charger is eligible for exchange and how to go about getting a replacement. In Singapore, consumers can exchange the faulty chargers at Nokia Care Centres.
