Aside from sharing the same name as a
Japanese model who was the first runner-up for Miss Universe 2006 and a
small town in India, the Kurara is Sony Ericsson's latest Symbian smartphone. The company hasn't made it official, yet, but that hasn't stopped Eldar Murtazin of
Mobile-review to give his 2 cents on the device.
According to him, the Kurara has a similar display as the
Samsung i8910 HD, but a lousier image quality and no AMOLED panel. It also doesn't have the huge onboard memory of the Samsung. In Sony Ericsson's defense, Eldar said the Kurara is the fastest Symbian smartphone to date with a Cortex A8 processor and 256MB RAM. The device is slated for launch some time in February or March next year for about 400 euros (US$600). Aside from a 720p HD video capture mode, the Kurara also comes with a microSD expansion slot, 3.5mm audio jack and micro-USB port.
