Nokia today officially announced its Life Tools service aimed at emerging markets in Indonesia. This was first revealed last month at a Life Tools press launch held in Mumbai, India where it debuted on June 12. The service is expected to go live in the republic early next month, making Indonesia the first country in Southeast Asia to get the Finnish product.
Nokia Life Tools will start with the agricultural service in Java and Sumatra, with the education and entertainment offerings available nation-wide. Five entry-level phones--the 1280, 1616, 1800, 2220 slide and 2690--have been announced with the service. The 2220 slide is expected by end of this year, while the remaining four models will be out in the first half of 2010.
