We're not new to pebbles, of course. Motorola had its luscious
Pebl and there's
Samsung's S2 cutesy MP3 player. But the Jabra Stone has just reignited our interest in, erm, miniature rocks. The wireless earpiece has a unique design that wraps over the ear and fits into a charging repository that is, surprise, surprise, shaped like a stone.
The headset itself has several neat features, including touch volume control, noise cancellation and multipoint auto-connectivity to pair with a few devices. Jabra says the Stone delivers up to 8 hours of talktime and 11 days of standby with the portable charger.
Update:
The Jabra Stone will be available in Singapore from November 16 at S$198.
When docked, the headset goes into "deep sleep" while at the same time charging itself. If there's an incoming call, the earpiece automatically turns on when you remove it from the portable charger. The Jabra Stone is expected to be available in Singapore in mid-November. Pricing details are not available yet, but in the US this one will set you back by US$129.

its funny that in this current "highly connected" world, some manufacturers still treat general consumers as fools, by ridiculously pricing their product beyond what is practical/realistic, like this basic device (apparently with enhanced multipoint connectivity) which they're attempting beyond $100 (even >$50?), i can buy a PSP with that money instead, a more technologically advanced gadget...
