The 11.6-inch notebook form factor has new members from the Fujitsu family, as the Japanese maker hsa just announced its latest additions to the LifeBook P series. Aiming for affordability, the Intel CULV-based LifeBook P3110 and LifeBook P3010 with AMD's Neo platform competes with the likes of Acer's Timeline series, Acer Ferrari One and the upcoming Toshiba Satellite T135 for consumer dollars.
The latest series does not sport an integrated optical drive, so Fujitsu has added the new DVD Sharing application that allows the machine to hop onto another PC's optical drive via Wi-Fi, much like the Remote Disk application on the Apple MacBook Air. Other features include a full-sized, spill-resistant keyboard and an Eco mode that shuts down non-essential components to boost battery life from 6.7 to 7.2 hours. The trackpad is also multitouch-enabled like most of its competitors.
