Here's another way to flaunt your wealth. So far, all the Vertu phones are candybars, but the new
Constellation Ayxta is the first to come in a clamshell form factor. The requisite stainless steel chassis with leather or ceramic accents and sapphire glass typical of the Vertus are still there, so it's not shabby at the very least. Expect the Ayxta to range between 4,900 euros and 6,500 euros and you also get the traditional Concierge one-year service to attend to your every needs as well as the new City Brief which informs you of the nearest bars, restaurants and points-of-interests, etc. In a nutshell, that's Lonely Planet for the rich.
Other technical features, which we assume you're not interested in, but still give it to you anyway, are 3G connectivity, a 3-megapixel camera with dual LED flash and microSD expansion card slot. We are still waiting for the availability details in Asia and will update as soon as we get the information.
