I'll admit, I'm not so much of a style furniture fan. Call me a pleb, but I prefer cheap, down-to-earth décor from Ikea. However, these pieces look so delectable, I honestly wouldn't mind putting one in my room.
Created by a Korean designer based in Italy, Michi Jung, the concept of these sedate-looking speakers is about bridging the gap between music and the "Italian style and quality of life".
The Music Chocolate is an audio amplifier for MP3 players. Frankly I wouldn't mind having a pouf that can pump some tunes, especially when throwing a home party. Let's just hope that the designer also considered the problem of electricity supply since this would probably be placed in the middle of a room. Tripping over wires is a sure-fire way of ruining a perfect gathering, that or suffering the endless string of party jokes aimed at you for being so clumsy.
For something a little more relaxed, the same design studio has also created a leather-clad lounge chair for a lazy weekend sprawling. Designed around the same principles, the Music Chaiselong also allows you to plug in your preferred audio sources. For an extra kick, this lounge chair is also able to swing a little while playing music. That sounds great for listening to trippy tracks when you're drunk.
Just one design shortfall that we noticed. If these furniture pieces are designed for social gatherings (parties?), let's hope they are made out of tougher material. Spilled drinks are just the least of your upholstery cleaning problems.
