It's also good to see tech vendors actually design something, such as a Bluetooth headset, which doesn't make us look like fugly members of the Borg collective once we don one of these. The chic, earring-like
Orb is one pretty good attempt. Now, here's one by award-winning Chinese designer
Fandi Meng that pushes the envelope on feminizing technology for women.
Though the Volution Bluetooth is still for all intents designed by a guy and repurposed in pink (go figure), this looks vogue enough for the catwalk. Looks-wise, the platter-shaped earring comes with a center pearl that blinks when a call gets through. Too bad, we'll never know if this functions as well as it looks since there's no word on when this goes into production. More pictures to come.

Unlike the Orb which might get away with a single piece, this would look pretty odd sitting on just one ear. That is unless its designer intends to turn the Volution into A2DP stereo Bluetooth headsets. (Credit: Fandi Meng)
