JVC will be shipping its latest Reference Series home theater projectors to selected Asia countries such as Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand from this October. Besides offering their predecessor's rich inky-black and high-performance HQV Reon-VX video processor, the DLA-RS15 and DLA-RS25 have been upgraded with the company's Clear Motion Drive function. Based on the 100Hz frame interpolation technology, the system is designed to deliver smoother panning sequences as well as reduced motion blurring.
For videophiles, the midrange DLA-RS25 goes one step further with Imaging Science Foundation 3C (certified calibration controls) and THX certifications. The former enables trained technicians to perform comprehensive video calibration, while the latter ensures that this model conforms to strict image quality and signal-processing standards. There's also the flagship DLA-RS35 which sets a new record among consumer-grade light cannons for its 70,000:1 native contrast ratio, though JVC is not decided about launching this model in Asia.
