The big brother of the current
LG BD370 has finally landed on Singapore shores. The
BD390 will cover everything offered by the former plus a few notable extras, including a built-in 1GB memory for BD-Live-compatibility, DLNA network multimedia playback and Wi-Fi connectivity. In case you're not familiar with these LG players, both models are capable of streaming online YouTube videos and supporting MKV file (Blu-ray rips) playback out-of-the-box.
As for the BD390's audio-visual credentials, the kit plays Blu-ray movies in film-based 24p mode and decodes the latest Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio surround sound. The latter two high-resolution soundtracks can be outputted via an HDMI port or 7.1-channel analog audio sockets. Rounding it up, LG is offering a quick startup, disc tray eject and loading functions for the BD390. This new flagship Blu-ray player will retail for S$799 (US$575.28) and is available only in Singapore, at least for now.

Full Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio support
