STUTTGART, GERMANY--Don't mistake the
N900 for just another smartphone. It may share similar features with the
N97 such as the 3.5-inch touchscreen, 32GB onboard memory, 5-megapixel camera and 3G functionality, but it is really designed as a mobile device that promises to offer a desktop computing experience.
In this latest iteration of the Internet Tablet, Nokia has made several enhancements including the implementation of the new Linux-based Maemo 5 software and upgraded hardware for improved multitasking. The N900 is also the first Internet Tablet to come with cellular capabilities.
Watch the video to find out how the Maemo 5 software works on the N900. The device is expected to launch in October with a recommended retail price of 500 euros (US$711).
