Nokia N97 mini now official

John Chan  |  Sep 02, 2009

Rumors have been rife that Nokia will be releasing a mini version of its N97 smartphone. And sure enough, during its Nokia World event in Stuttgart, Germany, the company gave details of the N97 mini. It is just slightly smaller than the original with very similar specifications. This product will be accompanied by an update of the Symbian S60 5th Edition software to version 2.0.

The new smartphone is joined by the X6 and X3, two new music-focused handsets. The X6 has specifications very similar to the N97 mini, less a slide-out keypad. The X3, on the other hand, is an entry-level model that should appeal to the masses. CNET Asia's senior editor Reuben Lee is on the ground at Nokia World, so check back for more updates. In the meantime, click here to find out more information including prices and availability of the new products.
