Olympus has just quietly announced the E-600 dSLR, a scaled-down version of the more robust
E-620. From the specifications sheet, it appears that the new camera shares the same chassis as the E-620, with the only difference between these two models being the features.
Unlike the E-620, the E-600 won't have backlit buttons or multi-exposure mode, and has three less Art Filters. Other highlights such as the 2.7-inch tilt/swivel LCD and sensor-shift image stabilizer remain on the new dSLR.
Olympus Singapore told CNET Asia that the E-600 is probably a more US-centric product, and most countries such as Singapore won't get it. If you're interested, check with your local Olympus office to see if the E-600 is available in your neck of the wood.
