From the company that gave the world the SoundBlaster soundcard, Creative will be unveiling the Sound Blaster
World of Warcraft Wireless Headset at the fourth
BlizzCon gaming convention. This will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, from August 21 to 22.
Creative will be introducing both the wired and wireless version of the
headset, the latter featuring an l337-sounding "uncompressed wireless technology" for audio transmission. That teaser shots we see show that it's customizable from a range of Horde and Alliance artwork illuminated by programmable color LEDs, although these did not state anything about users employing their own artwork or how many colors are possible.
The Creative Sound Blaster
World of Warcraft Wireless Headset is compatible with both the
PC and Mac platforms and is also the first product to emerge from the partnership between Creative and THX. The upcoming headset will incorporate the new THX TruStudio PC audio technology. We'll be waiting to get our hands on a pair (or greedily, on both versions) to see if it really sounds as good as it looks.
