Fancy a drool-worthy 100-inch display for just US$999? For this price, the Optoma HD20 home theater projector offers full-HD resolution, a respectable 4,000:1 contrast and dual HDMI inputs. In terms of value, the HD20 is pretty hard to beat considering the US$1,500-plus asking price for other competing entry-level 1080p models. Despite its affordability, the company is still bundling a backlit remote controller, while retaining useful functions such as rapid shutdown. The HD20 is also rated with an extended 4,000-hour lamp life in standard projection mode to stretch your dollars.
The HD20 will launch in Singapore from mid to end September. We have not received pricing and availability details for the rest of Asia.
