According to the absurdly well-informed Eldar Murtazin from Mobile-Review, the smartphone will be announced at Nokia World in Stuttgart next month. The leaks are apparently part of the Finns' plan to steal the thunder from a competitor which also has a lower-cost model of its flagship handset with the prefix "mini". Details are rather scant at the moment, although Eldar said the N97 mini will have less onboard memory (8GB or 16GB), a smaller screen and a more compact chassis. The navigation D-pad has been taken out in favor of individual directional keys and there's no camera lens cover. Price-wise, it's said to be about 100 euros cheaper than the current
N97. We'll be able to verify all this at the Nokia World soon, so stay tuned.
