Recently, a shaky, grainy video of what may or may not be a PS3 Slim turned up on YouTube (Engadget says it's supposedly a "stolen" PS3 slim that made its way to a street market in the Philippines). However, it's of such poor quality that it's really hard to tell what's what and it looks pretty dubious to us (and other blogs as well).
The "console" in the video does appear to be a little bit smaller than the current PS3 and there's quick flash of the new PS3 logo that we saw in earlier spy shots of an alleged PS3 Slim shipping box.
Devlin says... That was definitely shot in the Philippines in what appears to be Greenhills (a local mall where a lot of bootleg items are sold). Despite the blurry video that does look like a slim PS3 to me and I wouldn't be too surprised if that turned out to be the real thing. Sony does have a couple of factories in the Philippines so it being stolen is not a stretch at all.
Worst case scenario: it turns out to be one of those knock-off DVD player-PSX emulator combos.
Vespene, a member of GameTrailers' staff, had this to say: "Sony can't keep leaks."
Though the video was shaky and blurry the device did look solid and the new PS3 font on top (or the side depending on how it's oriented) is consistent with the new typeface Sony is using for the Go and leaked PS3 slim boxes.
