We've been poring over the
filings with the FCC for some evidence about Creative's new touchscreen portable media player. We even politely knocked on Creative's door, but unfortunately we weren't able to get any other information about this exciting new device.
Named after the miniature supercomputer that
Creative showed us during CES 2009, the Zii (and the developer-centric Zii EGG) include music and video playback capabilities, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, and an HD camera on the back, though it is unclear if it's 720p or 1080p.
Little else about the player is revealed in the FCC filing, but we've spotted HDMI output listed in one of the emission tests in the FCC documents. That ought to answer that odd appearance of a
Sony Bravia LCD TV in the "supporting description" section of the documents.
